Meet the Founder
Jen is a mother and creative spirit who moved from the sun-soaked hills of Temecula, California, to the quiet forests of New Hampshire in search of a slower, more intentional life. Embracing small living, gardening, and remote work, she now lives full-time in a lake-view cozy cabin, surrounded by trees, water, and the ever-changing seasons.
While balancing a full-time remote career, Jen found comfort in creating with her hands. She began hand-pouring candles inspired by her surroundings, capturing the essence of a petrichor forest—the earthy, grounding scent released when rain meets soil, moss, leaves, and wood. In New Hampshire, this fragrance lingers after rainfall, drifting through pine forests and along the lakeshore, offering a sense of stillness, renewal, and deep connection to the land.
Each candle reflects Jen’s journey into simplicity, creativity, and the quiet magic of forest living.
Our Story
At Petrichor Forest Candles, each candle is thoughtfully hand-poured in small batches using an all-natural soy wax blend that includes one of the blends of hemp, coconut, beeswax, or avocado. We believe what you burn in your home matters, which is why we choose clean, simple ingredients that support a calmer, more intentional way of living.
Soy wax is a natural, renewable resource that burns cleaner and longer than traditional paraffin candles. This means less soot in your home and a candle you can enjoy for hours more. Soy candles also hold fragrance beautifully, allowing scents to gently fill a room without feeling overwhelming.
